Project Overview
Pipeline Actuation Control has been contracted multiple times by BHP Petroleum to engineer and manufacture their wellhead control cabinets.
PAC was set the task of designing a system to work in one of the harshest climates in the world with some of the strictest quality control requirements in the industry.
Our Engineering & Design team reviewed the system requirements and presented a detailed design including the P&ID, product data and documentation outlining the prerequisites for the Manufacturers Data Report (MDR) and Factory Acceptance Test (FAT).
During the design phase, the client advised alterations to the existing wells were required due to unreliable instrumentation. As a result of this the wing, master and choke valves in the well had to be changed to hydraulically actuated in place of the original pneumatically actuated valves.
Pipeline Actuation Control was additionally engaged to ascertain whether the existing system could manage the increased load.
