HIPPS (High Integrity Pressure Protection System)
HIPPS (High Integrity Pressure Protection System) valves are protect a downstream system from an over pressure event. HIPPS valves are designed to quickly close a pipeline or flowline, when there is a threat of over pressurisation. PAC can assist in the design of your HIPPS system by selecting the appropriate valves, actuators and controls, with the appropriate SIL (Safety Integrity Level) reliability certification.
A HIPPS incorporates, pressure sensing equipment – usually with 3 pressure sensors, a control system, typically employing a 2oo3 voting system, thereby enabling calibration/service of each of the sensors while the HIPPS remains active and the final control elements which are usually quick closing shutdown valves. PAC can supply the entire HIPPS safety instrumented system (SIS) in compliance with IEC61511 or just the HIPPS valves themselves to be integrated into the customer’s SIS.
PAC offers local Australian support and in-house & on-site testing of our HIPPS valves, which is not necessarily available from some international suppliers. PAC also offer very competitive lead times on HIPPS valves.
